About Courage & Co.
Built on Courage. Led by Heart.
A creative media and boutique publishing house rooted in storytelling, leadership, and heart. We exist to build spaces where authenticity thrives and to provide overlooked voices with the opportunity to be heard.
Courage & Co. was created from a simple but powerful belief: you can choose to build even in the middle of breaking. Through faith, creativity, and connection, we transform real-life resilience into stories and strategies that move people toward hope.
Our work extends to publishing, leadership, and creative development. We merge professional excellence with personal purpose by guiding authors through the creative process, designing meaningful workshops, or curating stories that elevate underrepresented voices, every project reflects one shared truth:
True courage is faith in motion.
About Our Team
We collaborate with editors, illustrators, and brand specialists who share our commitment to inclusion, quality, and heart- driven storytelling. Every project is supported by a creative network built on trust, excellence, and courage.
Meet the Founder
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Annie Carter retired from the United States Air Force before continuing her life of service as a nurse, educator, advocate, and storyteller. An accomplished leader and Ambassador for the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program, she was honored with the Poet Award for her contributions to resilience and creative expression.
Now based in Nebraska, she is the founder of Courage & Co., a creative publishing and leadership company rooted in faith, storytelling, and heart. A combat veteran and mother to a beautifully brave, medically complex daughter, Annie writes about the spaces between resilience and rest — the sacred work of continuing even when life feels uncertain.
Her voice is honest, tender, and unflinchingly human, offering readers a place to breathe, heal, and hope. She also mentors emerging authors with creativity, consistency, and accountability — guiding purposeful ideas into published works.
“Comfort didn’t mean the challenges were gone. It meant I had made space to exist inside them. And from that space, hope grew.”
